<p>Healthy Muslim Families Inc. (HMF) is a non‑profit organization based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.</p>
<p>Our mission is to strengthen and empower families through education, programs, services, and support, in line with Islamic values. We operate from a belief that strong families make a strong community.</p>
<p>We serve ethno‑cultural communities that include new immigrant communities and thus strive to provide culturally appropriate services and services in the first languages of the community.</p>
<h3>Main Job Responsibilities:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Deliver Financial Literacy workshops</li>
<li>Assist during tax filing season</li>
<li>Gather feedback from the participants, pre and post workshop surveys</li>
<li>Recruit participants for workshops</li>
<li>Provide one on one assistance to community</li>
<li>Work effectively with the team members</li>
<li>Accurately maintain participant files in an effective and confidential manner</li>
<li>Submit reports and documents in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Translate PowerPoint presentations in a second language of the community</li>
<li>Participate in meetings and trainings</li>
<li>Complete other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
<h3>Assets:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Understanding of Financial products and navigating financial institutions in Canada</li>
<li>Understanding of settlement challenges and barriers that newcomer families face</li>
<li>Understanding of the impact of poverty on families</li>
<li>Additional languages like Arabic</li>
</ul>
