Our client is a leader in medical imaging solutions and is seeking a Field Service Technician / Engineer to join their team in Winnipeg, MB. This is a permanent position reporting to the Regional Service Manager, responsible for the repair, maintenance, calibration, and installation of diagnostic imaging systems in hospitals and clinics. This role ensures reliable equipment performance, exceptional customer support, and compliance with safety and performance standards. It requires a proactive service approach, technical expertise in diagnostic imaging, and strong communication skills to meet the expectations of healthcare clients. - 2+ years of experience maintaining diagnostic imaging equipment (hospital/medical setting preferred)
- College or university education in electronics, biomedical engineering, electromechanics, or related field
- Knowledge of modalities such as radiography, fluoroscopy, mammography, MRI, and nuclear medicine
- Familiarity with PACS, SIR, and DICOM standards an asset
- Experience with X-ray, breast imaging, and ultrasound equipment an asset
- Working knowledge of computer systems, Windows OS, and networks preferred
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Excellent English communication skills (French/English bilingualism an asset)
- Install and calibrate new diagnostic imaging equipment in hospitals and clinics
- Perform commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repairs on imaging systems
- Monitor equipment safety and maintain required performance standards
- Provide high-quality service and maintain effective communication with customers
- Complete all required documentation, test reports, and service records
- Travel to client sites for scheduled and emergency service activities
- Service radiography, mammography, and computer-assisted radiology systems
- Manage time and assigned projects effectively
- Support organizational policies, procedures, and best practices
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule to respond outside business hours
