Work-life balance is a priority and remote work is an option to be discussed.</p><p><strong>Locations:</strong> Salmon Arm or Vernon</p><p><strong>Position: Family Lawyer/Civil Litigation (5+ YOC, no book required)</strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Independently manage family law and civil litigation files.</li><li>Handle a wide range of family law matters, including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.</li><li>Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials.</li><li>Instruct support staff and receive instructions from clients.</li><li>Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications.</li><li>Negotiate at mediations and appear at trials.</li><li>Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end.</li><li>Experience in general civil litigation is an asset.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>5+ years</strong> of current experience in British Columbia family law and/or civil litigation practice.</li><li>Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently.</li><li>Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Desire to become part of the community served.</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p><ul><li>Salary based on the year of call and experience.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process:</strong> To apply, please submit a cover letter and CV by email, confidentially to <strong>shannon.flower@gogpac.com</strong> or <strong>call 986-999-4419</strong>.</p><p>Only those shortlisted for an interview will be contacted.</p>
