We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team and contribute to our continued success.</p><p><br></p><p>As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in our company's growth and success by accurately estimating the costs and resources required for fire alarm system installations and upgrades.</p><p>You will collaborate closely with our sales, design, and project management teams to ensure accurate and competitive project bids.</p><p>Your attention to detail and knowledge of fire alarm systems will be crucial in providing accurate cost estimates and contributing to the overall success of our projects.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Review project requirements, specifications, and drawings to develop detailed fire alarm system cost estimates.</li><li>Conduct on-site visits and assessments to gather relevant project information Collaborate with the sales team to review bid documents and participate in bid strategy meetings.</li><li>Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.</li><li>Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project costs and timelines.</li><li>Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.</li><li>Collaborate with the design team to ensure that the proposed fire alarm systems meet applicable codes, standards, and regulations.</li><li>Work closely with project managers to provide support during the project lifecycle, including cost tracking and change order management.</li><li>Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and changes in fire alarm codes and standards.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Experience in fire alarm system estimation or a related field.</li><li>Demonstrates a willingness to learn and grow within the role and organization</li><li>In-depth knowledge of fire alarm system components, codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NFPA, CAN/ULC).</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.</li><li>Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g. ProEst) is preferred.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.</li><li>Must have a valid G2 or G license</li><li>Able to drive occasionally throughout the GTA to site visits</li><li>Looking for someone who wants to grow and stay long term</li><li>Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in estimating project costs.</li><li>Relevant certifications (e.g., CET, CFAA) are desirable but not mandatory.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b> What We Offer</b></p><ul><li>Supportive, family-oriented team environment where collaboration is key.</li><li>Unlimited career growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding company.</li><li>Training and mentorship programs led by experienced professionals to help you thrive.</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package after just 3 months.</li><li>Direct access to leadership and an open-door culture that values your ideas.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>If you are a skilled Estimator seeking an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rapidly expanding company, we would love to hear from you.</p><p><br></p><p>Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience to </p><p><br></p><p>We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</p>
