GEI Consultants is seeking passionate and motivated students eligible for summer employment for the May 2026 term who are eager to make a positive impact on our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for students pursuing a career in environmental or civil engineering to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

 

As an Environmental Summer Student at GEI, you will work closely with a talented, multidisciplinary team, contributing to the successful delivery of a variety of projects. This role offers the opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a practical setting while learning from experienced professionals and gaining valuable industry exposure.

 

Essential Responsibilities & Duties 

  • Collaborate with team members on environmental and civil engineering projects 
  • Assist in data collection, site assessments, and environmental analysis 
  • Support the preparation of reports, proposals, and technical documentation 
  • Conduct research and contribute to project planning and implementation 
  • Attend site visits and provide on-site support as required 
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to ongoing projects 
  • Ensure that all tasks are completed in compliance with safety regulations and project timelines 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled in an Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related program 
  • Strong interest in environmental or civil engineering practices 
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment 
  • Must be eligible for a summer work term
