<p><b>Location: </b>24 Colonnade Road, Ottawa ON</p><p><b>Schedule:</b> Daytime, Monday to Friday</p><p><b>Starting Salary:</b> $76,000/year</p><p><br></p><p><b>What you will be doing </b></p><p>We're looking for a Bilingual Employee and Labour Relations Advisor to guide managers and employees through complex workplace matters with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.</p><p>As a key member of our Employee and Labour Relations (ERLR) team, you'll help ensure that our policies, collective agreements, and legislation are applied consistently and fairly across the organization.</p><p><br></p><p><b>What You'll Do</b></p><ul><li>Advise managers and employees on HR policies, collective agreements, and employment legislation (ESA, Human Rights Code, WSIB / CSPAAT)</li><li>Support performance management and disciplinary actions to ensure decisions are fair, consistent, and compliant</li><li>Lead and support workplace investigations (harassment, sexual harassment, violence, or other sensitive cases)</li><li>Assist in the preparation of grievances, arbitration files, and bargaining documentation</li><li>Collaborate with union representatives to resolve issues early and maintain constructive relationships</li><li>Coordinate medical accommodations, return-to-work, and attendance management processes</li><li>Respond to inquiries from the Human Rights Tribunal, Ministry of Labour, and other agencies</li><li>Maintain case documentation, prepare reports, and support process improvements within the HR department</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>You're a good fit if </b></p><ul><li>You bring sound judgment, discretion, and tact to sensitive HR and employee relations matters</li><li>You're skilled in investigations, conflict resolution, and labour relations in unionized and non-unionized environments</li><li>You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and French</li><li>You enjoy helping leaders and employees navigate challenging conversations and build better workplaces</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Your must-haves:</b></p><ul><li>Bilingualism (French/English) is required</li><li>Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field is preferred; a combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered</li><li>CHRP/CRHA designation is preferred</li><li>Minimum 3 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on employee and labour relations.</li><li>Knowledge of employment and labour legislation (e.g., Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, WSIB)</li><li>Experience in policy interpretation, case management, and providing HR advice</li><li>Secret level Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain)</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>What's in it for you?</b></p><ul><li>Work for a reputable and nationally known company</li><li>Work in a challenging and rewarding work environment</li><li>Employer paid professional development</li><li>A comprehensive benefits package</li><li>Generous paid time off, holidays and sick days</li><li>Retirement plans with company matching of employee contributions</li><li>Employee discount programs, social outings and holiday gatherings</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Application Process</b></p><p>If we are the right fit for you, we want to hear from you!
