Description

Through collaboration and a cross-functional approach, the Education Partner will provide guidance on mandatory education, program and policy support, data collection and reporting, and analysis of our programs. You will work alongside our People team and leaders across the organization to identify learning needs, develop impactful training programs, and support the growth and development of our team members and leaders.



  • Manage and optimize the use of our Learning Management System (Crossroads Community), ensuring it’s accessible, user-friendly, and supports the delivery of training programs both in-person and online.
  • Support the Director of People Development in planning, implementing, and continuously improving the Schlegel Mentorship Program to promote leadership and professional development.
  • Oversee the regular updates and maintenance of the succession planning database, ensuring it remains current and aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Provide support to the Director of People Development in executing and overseeing Ron Schlegel University initiatives, encompassing education reimbursement programs, scholarship grants, and upskilling opportunities.
  • Lead onboarding and orientation programs including First Day In The Village and annual updates to orientation checklists and the Navigator Notebook.
  • Contribute actively to our annual conferences.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to understand the unique learning needs of our teams, ensuring training programs align with our values and business goals.
  • Take the lead on key learning and development initiatives, such as succession planning, people development, and career pathways, ensuring all programs align with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Review and analyze monthly and annual performance review metrics for team members and leaders.
  • Develop, facilitate, and curate a variety of training programs that support development at all levels.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, performance metrics, and surveys, making improvements as needed to enhance outcomes and ensure the success of our team members.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Adult Education, Organizational Development or a related field is an asset.
  • CHRP designation is an asset.
  • Experience in the senior living sector is an asset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to connect with team members and leaders at all levels.
  • Passionate about people development and committed to building a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Commitment to promoting development initiatives that align with Schlegel Villages mission, vision, and values.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to evaluating training effectiveness and making improvements.
  • Ability to analyze and present data, reports, and presentations to various internal groups, tailoring messages to a diverse audience with sensitivity and in alignment with Schlegel Villages values.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions in both large and small group settings with empathy, sensitivity, compassion, and curiosity.
  • Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage conflicts and handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and without judgement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
