Position


Würth Canada is seeking a District Sales Manager who is a strategic sales thinker with a passion for coaching, managing, and developing a team of sales representatives. The manager will be responsible for a district spanning Kitchener to Windsor. The incumbent is expected to lead by example, be a strategic and influential partner within internal teams to foster a values-driven high-performance culture.


Reporting and Responsibilities



  • Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the District Sales Manager responsibilities include:

  • Manage a sales team of 7 in a defined geographic district and develop sales representatives while implementing divisional sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue, growth, and profitability targets.

  • Implement strategies to grow the active customer base using omnichannel approaches.

  • Manage sales forecasts and budgets; monitor performance to meet or exceed plan.

  • Engage the team and champion Würth Canada’s cultural attributes as a people leader.

  • Recruit, train, and coach sales representatives within the district.

  • Identify future opportunities for district growth.

  • Educate and support Sales Representatives with Route Planning & Speedy Touch training.

  • Address business situations and challenges with team members and customers.

  • Support and identify hiring needs and performance plans for Sales Representatives as required.

  • Be actively involved in the recruitment process for new Sales Representatives.

  • Train Sales Representatives on their key responsibilities.


The Ideal Candidate Will Bring



  • Division-specific market and product knowledge (Automotive or Industrial Distribution) to lead divisional strategies within the sales district.

  • Minimum 3+ years of outside sales experience.

  • Experience in a leadership role or completion of the talent development program with coaching and talent development skills.

  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop effective sales strategies.

  • Degree / Diploma in Business, Sales, or a related field.

  • Critical thinker with change management and process improvement aptitude; able to communicate insights from analyses.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with the ability to motivate, influence, and engage others.

  • Proficiency in time management; ability to balance field work with office tasks.

  • Strong negotiation skills with experience working with large customers.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills; ability to drive change and align with company goals and customer needs.

  • Leadership with self-awareness and the ability to model a high-performance culture built on humanistic values.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.

  • Residency within the district and ability to travel within the district and nationally, with flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required.

  • Overnight travel may be required depending on location.
