Reporting directly to the Vice President, Operations and Sustainability, the Director of Operations will oversee multi-site warehousing and logistics operations across Southwestern Ontario (London, Chatham, Hamilton-Halton). With more than 400,000 sq. ft. of facilities, a transportation fleet, and multiple distribution centres, this strategic role is central to Goodwill’s ability to maximize donations, reduce landfill, and increase employment opportunities in our communities.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Provide visionary leadership across multiple warehouses, distribution centres, and logistics operations.</li><li>Drive operational excellence through Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices.</li><li>Lead and support management teams overseeing warehouse operations, transportation, and recycling/sorting facilities.</li><li>Spearhead ERP and technology implementation to modernize and streamline processes.</li><li>Establish, track, and deliver against KPIs, budgets, and cost efficiencies (current operational base ~$10M).</li><li>Lead negotiations with carriers, vendors, and waste management partners.</li><li>Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, creating a culture of accountability and safety.</li></ul><h3>Candidate Profile</h3><ul><li>Proven experience in multi-site logistics, warehousing, or 3PL environments.</li><li>Strong background in process engineering and operational improvement (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma).</li><li>Track record of successfully implementing ERP and routing systems.</li><li>Expertise in budget management and KPI accountability.</li><li>Ability to thrive in both unionized and non-union settings.</li><li>Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and change-management skills.</li><li>A collaborative, inclusive leadership style that aligns with Goodwill’s ICARE values (Inclusion, Compassion, Aspiring Workforce, Respect, Empathy).</li></ul><h3>Why Join Goodwill?</h3><p>This is more than an operations role—it is a chance to make a profound impact.
