What you will be responsible for at Embassy:

  • Creating a culture focused on Operational Excellence.
  • Providing leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of our facility.
  • Working closely with quality personnel to ensure product consistency and determine areas of improvement.
  • Working in collaboration with Quality to ensure the facility maintains food safety standards as per BRC requirements in order to consistently meet AA BRC audit scores.
  • Prioritizing employee safety requirements and areas for improvement
  • Developing operational KPIs and targets
  • Reviewing and establishing schedules for all manufacturing departments to ensure established inventory levels and customer order requirements are met.
  • Responsible for the talent management for all areas of operations
  • Monitoring and managing operational expenses and is proactive to eliminate unnecessary costs.
  • Promoting a continuous improvement environment.
  • Removing production constrains, allocating personnel and equipment resources to maintain and enhance profitability in the plant facility.
  • Working in collaboration with sales to trouble shoot customer concerns and ensure customer orders are shipped on time.
  • Leading crisis management process
  • Collaborating with marketing, R&D and sales to develop new business growth strategies and develops/implements capital plans to meet strategy requirements.
  • Supporting all food safety initiatives, including (but not limited to) BRCGS, HACCP, GMPs, Allergens, GFCP, Kosher, Halal, Customer Requirements (Such as Costco standards and Kraft Standards)

What you will need to bring to Embassy:

  • 3 to 5 years of food manufacturing expertise or a good mix of education and practical experience
  • Great computer skills and experience with ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Must be flexible with work hours to meet the business demands and support different shifts.
  • Experience executing lean manufacturing expertise/Six Sigma is beneficial
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to see the bigger picture – Embassy is growing incredible fast within the bakery ingredients industry
