We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our engineering department.

The right candidate will be confident leading teams ensuring that all members work effectively towards meeting corporate goals and provide expert technical guidance for engineering initiatives that are aligned with business needs. This includes driving innovation, optimizing resources, and ensuring the delivery of quality products or services to our customers.



Our ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of engineering principles, practices, codes, and regulations, as well as strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to take the company to the next level in our evolution.

Key Accountabilities


  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for the department and ensure alignment with corporate mission, vision, and values.
  • Lead cross functional engineering teams to execute strategic engineering initiatives.
  • Create and implement technical engineering strategies
  • Manage department budget and resources to make cost-effective decisions that don’t compromise quality, efficiency, or safety.
  • Oversee product development and release of new and innovative products or technologies within set timelines
  • Establish quality control standards to ensure final products meet industry standards and customer requirements
  • Oversee the development of a Rooftop Hazard and Inspection program and team.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10+ years managing mechanical or structural engineering teams
  • Designation requirement: P.Eng, Ing, or other professional engineering designation in Canada.
  • Education: undergraduate degree in mechanical or structural engineering
  • Advantageous: Fully bilingual in English and French
  • Applicants must either be a Canadian citizen or a permanent or temporary resident of Canada with a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Type: Full-time


Salary: $140,000 – $200,000 per year
