<h3>The Role</h3>
<p>They are hiring a <b>Director of Corporate Human Resources Services</b> to lead their HR and payroll functions across multiple jurisdictions. This is a senior leadership role, reporting into the executive team and working closely with business leaders to ensure their HR strategy fully supports long-term business objectives. The successful candidate will bring deep experience in workforce planning, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and global compliance. This individual will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, while also being a hands-on leader who supports the HR and payroll teams on the ground.</p>
<h3>Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>A post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.</li>
<li>At least 15 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership capacity.</li>
<li>Proven experience leading HR functions across complex organizations with multiple jurisdictions.</li>
<li>Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation strongly preferred; Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation considered an asset.</li>
<li>Broad expertise across HR disciplines, including recruitment, talent management, employee relations, learning and development, compensation, and policy development.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation, with international experience (particularly US and expat programs) highly valued.</li>
<li>Background in oil and gas, energy, or manufacturing considered a strong asset.</li>
<li>Experience overseeing payroll operations across multiple regions.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, decision-making, and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate at all levels of the business.</li>
<li>Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools.</li>
<li>Willingness to travel periodically.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Partner with the executive and senior leadership teams to define HR strategy in alignment with long-term business goals.</li>
<li>Provide expert guidance on complex HR matters including workforce planning, organizational development, and employee relations.</li>
<li>Oversee payroll operations in Canada, the US, and international markets, ensuring compliance with all local regulations.</li>
<li>Lead the development and execution of HR policies, practices, and programs that enhance recruitment, retention, performance management, and employee engagement.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Finance to design competitive compensation and benefits programs across multiple geographies.</li>
<li>Mentor and lead HR and payroll teams, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.</li>
<li>Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand operational needs and provide proactive HR support.</li>
<li>Represent the organization with external stakeholders including legal counsel, government bodies, and third-party providers.</li>
