A leading engineering specialist placing innovation at the heart of its strategy, SEGULA Technologies conducts large-scale projects, ranging from studies to industrialisation and production.</p>Job Description<br><br><p>Design & Development</p><ul><li>Design, specify, test, validate, and release Propulsion Systems components for assigned vehicle families.</li><li>Design components using NX software (2D & 3D).</li><li>Develop parts in collaboration with suppliers following the “Source Package” process.</li><li>Create and evaluate requests for functional testing of components in assembly plants prior to production (Production Evaluation Request).</li><li>Request prototype parts to address warranty concerns.</li></ul><p>Testing & Validation</p><ul><li>Request and authorize validation testing to ensure compliance with design requirements (DVP&R).</li><li>Review and process component changes from suppliers, including associated documentation and test plans.</li><li>Coordinate and review DFMEA and PFMEA with internal teams and suppliers.</li><li>Verify product manufacturing processes before mass production release.</li><li>Release temporary approvals for parts under validation (Interim Approval Authorization).</li><li>Request and obtain concurrencies for validations and both temporary and permanent deviations.</li></ul><p>Failure Analysis & Problem Solving</p><ul><li>Analyze and resolve component-related functional and durability failures (including GIMS support).</li><li>Investigate and address part-related failures, including root cause analysis.</li><li>Propose, validate, and implement cost reduction initiatives.</li></ul><p>Documentation & Process Control</p><ul><li>Process and document engineering changes and modifications (Change Notices).</li><li>Approve or reject documents related to Temporary Substitution requests in Assembly Plants.</li><li>Create and update DFMEA documents and Engineering Change documentation.</li><li>Create and approve Tool Kick-Off (TKO) requests for production parts.</li></ul><p>Cross-functional Support</p><ul><li><p>Provide support to the Service Team in developing:</p><ul><li><p>Technical Service Bulletins</p></li><li><p>Tech Master Videos</p></li><li><p>GPOP responses</p></li><li><p>Star Online Publications</p></li><li><p>Updated service procedures</p></li></ul></li><li>Support Assembly Plants in applying specification changes and understanding engineering changes.</li><li>Assist in Pilot and Pre-Series events in Assembly Plants.</li><li>Standardize and benchmark components for performance, weight, and cost efficiency.</li></ul><p>Information Management</p><ul><li><p>Gather and manage data related to:</p><ul><li><p>Product changes and implementation timing</p></li><li><p>Service and recall bulletins</p></li><li><p>Product engineering standards</p></li><li><p>Bill of Materials</p></li><li><p>Engineering graphs</p></li></ul></li></ul>Qualifications<br><br><p>Design Experience in the Following Components:</p><ul><li>Internal Combustion Engine / Electric Motor / Power Electronics accessories’ components.</li><li>Support Brackets for Electronic Modules.</li><li>Internal and surrounding components from Internal Combustion Engine.</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Electro-mechanical, etc.).</li><li>Previous experience: Preferably 1-3 years in the automotive industry as a Product Engineer or product development-related position.</li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Solid knowledge in automotive vehicles and systems, assembly and manufacturing, part validation, and automotive systems.</li><li>Knowledge in Internal Combustion Engines, thermodynamics, and statistics; testing, validation, and failure solving in the Automotive Industry or similar.</li><li>Good communication skills and experience in basic software suites (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Minitab, etc.).</li><li>Computer-design software skill in NX and/or CATIA.</li><li>Proactive, analytical, inquiring attitude; synthesis capability, team player.</li><li>Disciplined and planning capacity.</li></ul><p>Optional:</p><ul><li>DFSS Green Belt/Black Belt certified.</li><li>Reactive Green/Black Belt certified.</li></ul><br><br>Additional Information<br><br><p><strong>**Job based in Michigan; must be a Canadian citizen.</strong></p></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
