As Department Manager for JOE FRESH Apparel, you will be responsible for inventory integrity, merchandising, sales-focused excellence, fashion, creativity and execution of major sales programs. You will oversee all programs within the JOE FRESH Apparel dedicated sales area as well as assigned departments throughout the store.</p><p>As part of our Management Team, you will be a mentor and leader, developing your team through succession planning initiatives, supporting our CORE Values: Care, Ownership, Respect, and Excellence. Part of your responsibility as a Department Manager will include weekly rotational responsibilities/participation as part of our Manager on Duty rotation.</p><h3>What You'll Need</h3><ul><li>Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evenings, a periodic night shift if needed, and weekends</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Accept responsibility for department metrics, leadership and colleague engagement</li><li>Three to five years’ experience in the apparel/fashion/retail service industry is beneficial</li><li>Prior management experience is beneficial</li><li>Grade 12 Diploma (GED or equivalent)</li><li>A strong understanding of data analytics</li></ul><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul><li>Direct and supervise all Joe Fresh Apparel staff to secure an efficient in-stock position and courteous customer service</li><li>Ensure productivity within all areas is efficient, achieving expectations within each department</li><li>Respond to customer inquiries, requests and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times</li><li>Maximize sales and gross profit, ensuring sales goals and budgets are met through inventory management</li><li>Hire part-time staff and train new employees</li><li>Support and schedule all colleagues ensuring compliance with scheduling practices and wage cost controls</li><li>Interpret and administer Company policy and ensure compliance with Employee Guidelines</li><li>Maintain the condition of service counters, production areas and offices (5S standards)</li><li>Ensure safety and sanitation and overall conditions of the assigned work areas including back shop</li></ul><p>Apply today!</p><p>At Loblaw, we respect the environment, source products with integrity and make a positive difference in the community.
