RESPONSIBILITES:


  • Serve internal and external customers by responding to emails, directing telephone and in person inquiries.
  • Responsible for manually or electronically updating and entering new data in an accurate and timely manner, including vehicle information, registrations and other documents in a prescribed format.
  • Role is a combination of customer service & administrative tasks – the admin tasks are routine and repetitive. Attention to detail & accuracy are essential in this.
  • Additional to the role being half customer service & administrative; all counter staff are trained to cover reception for the purposes of breaks, absences and/or vacation.
  • Auction business is atypical of most industries; the environment is demanding & fast paced.
  • Office environment is very noisy with many distractions; candidate must be able to withstand these working conditions on the long term.
  • Perform filing and other administrative duties as required.
  • Assist in Sale Day activities as directed.
  • Occasionally clerk on the Auction Block as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma and minimum of 3+ years clerical experience in an office environment; retail experience considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Gmail products.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – specifically in Excel & Word.
  • Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
  • Must have good customer service skills.
  • Must have good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
