Our systems generate a huge amount of performance and time-series data, and we’re looking for a Data Scientist to join our Software Team to help us make sense of it all. You’ll work closely with our cloud and on-prem data infrastructure to analyze trends and uncover insights that help improve robot performance in the field. If you love solving complex data problems, working with a high-ownership team, and want to have a direct impact on real-world automation, this is your kind of role.</p><h3>What You’ll Do</h3><ul><li>Analyze performance and operational data from our deployed robots to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.</li><li>Work directly within our <b>C++/SQL-based stack</b> to extract and analyze system data (this isn’t a dev-heavy role, but experience navigating code and databases is key).</li><li>Collaborate with software developers, roboticists, and hardware engineers to translate insights into product and system improvements.</li><li>Build tools, queries, and visualizations to support internal analysis and decision-making.</li><li>Help maintain and optimize data access pipelines across both cloud and on-prem systems.</li><li>Present findings in a way that’s digestible to cross-functional teams, from engineering to field operations.</li></ul><h3>What Success Looks Like</h3><ul><li>You’ve uncovered data-driven insights that led to measurable improvements in robot reliability, efficiency, or uptime.</li><li>You’re the go-to person for understanding performance patterns across our deployed fleet.</li><li>Your tools and analysis are helping the Software Team (and beyond) make faster, smarter decisions.</li><li>You’re proactively working with the team to identify new areas where data can drive product improvements.</li><li>You’ve built confidence in the data, and how we use it.</li></ul><h3>What You Bring</h3><ul><li>Solid experience working with large, complex datasets in a production environment.</li><li>Strong proficiency with <b>SQL</b> and an understanding of how to navigate and interpret <b>C++-based data systems</b>.</li><li>Experience with performance, time-series, or sensor data — especially in embedded or robotics systems.</li><li>Comfort working with both <b>on-prem and cloud</b> storage systems.</li><li>Strong communication skills — you can explain technical findings clearly and collaborate well across disciplines.</li><li>Bonus points if you’ve built custom analytics tools or pipelines that others rely on.</li></ul><h3>Why This Role Matters</h3><p>As part of our <b>Software Team</b>, you’ll be a key player in transforming raw system data into actionable insights.
