Superior Propane is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Cyber Security Analyst to join our team.

This hybrid role, reporting to the Manager of IT Security & Governance, requires three days a week in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario, Canada.


What you’ll do:
• Implement, enforce, and maintain security best practices.
• Lead major security projects and initiatives.
• Develop and implement advanced security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Manage the MSSP and vulnerability management program.
• Perform security assessments for internal and external IT solutions.
• Collaborate on projects as a Cyber Security subject matter expert.
• Drive cybersecurity awareness and training campaigns.
• Evaluate and improve existing security tools and methods.
• Contribute to IT policy, standards, and procedures.
• Plan and conduct Cyber security incident runbooks and drills.
• Support risk and compliance control selection, implementation, and enforcement.
• Work with IT teams to ensure optimal security.
• Select, implement, and operate security tools (e.g., End Point Protection, SIEM, Firewalls, IAM, MFA).
• Report security breaches and provide regular reports to IT leadership.
• Lead security portions of audit compliance and vendor management.
• Handle security and infrastructure cloud-related escalation tickets.
• Identify and recommend countermeasures for new and emerging cyber risks.



What you bring:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Information Security.
• Degree in computer science or related discipline.
• Experience with IT security technologies, Cyber Security investigations, and public Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Relevant certifications (SSCP, CISSP, CEH, GIAC) are an asset.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, PCI-DSS).
• Understanding of application security, penetration testing, and IoT security.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to travel approx 10% within Canada and the United States
