Full job description
Responsibilities:
- Report to Office Manager and Plant Manager for maintenance activities.
- Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across all areas of the manufacturing plant, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and production areas.
- Perform daily housekeeping responsibilities such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning windows and interior walls, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.
- Collect and dispose of waste and recycling materials in designated bins.
- Follow all health and safety regulations while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly. (toilet running, sink not draining, lights out, building damage, etc.)
- Assist in deep-cleaning projects and additional duties as required.
- Seasonal duties include; snow removal from walkways and emergency exits, and salting walkways and emergency exits.
- Complete additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Must have 2+ years of experience as a custodian in a manufacturing facility.
- Must be a team player and have the ability to work cohesively.
- Must be highly responsible & reliable; good attendance is mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals
- Ability to take and follow directions well.
- Proactive, respectful, good attitude.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $17.55 per hour
