We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Counter Sales Representative. This role requires the flexibility to serve our diverse customer base across all product lines but a background in HVAC products is an asset. As part of our team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional service, fostering customer relationships, and driving sales at the counter.</p><p><br /></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p>Customer Service & Order Management:</p><ul><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for all in-person customers, providing expert advice on products and addressing inquiries.</li><li>Accurately enter customer orders into the system, ensuring timely fulfillment and delivery.</li><li>Handle inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, offering prompt, knowledgeable responses.</li></ul><p>Vendor Communication:</p><ul><li>Proactively contact vendors for pricing, availability, and ETA on non-stocked or non-listed products.</li><li>Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve pricing discrepancies and ensure competitive product offerings.</li></ul><p>Relationship Building & Sales Support:</p><ul><li>Foster strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs, providing tailored product recommendations, and delivering exceptional service.</li><li>Identify potential sales opportunities and collaborate with Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs) to maximize customer satisfaction and sales.</li></ul><p>Inventory & Stock Management:</p><ul><li>Regularly monitor stock levels forproducts to ensure availability.</li><li>Organize incoming inventory, ensuring accurate stocking and storage for efficient order fulfillment.</li></ul><p>Product Knowledge & Training:</p><ul><li>Stay current with industry trends and product knowledge to provide the best recommendations and solutions to customers.</li><li>Assist in training new employees, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.</li></ul><p>Problem-Solving & Conflict Resolution:</p><ul><li>Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns professionally and promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction.</li><li>Investigate and resolve pricing issues, inventory discrepancies, and other customer-related challenges.</li></ul><p>Miscellaneous Duties:</p><ul><li>Maintain an attractive and organized sales counter, ensuring that product displays are visually appealing and properly stocked.</li><li>Support cross-departmental collaboration with Purchasing, Admin, and Sales Admin teams to streamline operations.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Mandatory Requirements:</p><ul><li>Industry Experience:A minimum of 2 years of experience with plumbing and heating products, </li><li>HVAC Experience:Strong understanding of HVAC products is an asset.</li><li>Education:High school diploma (or equivalent).</li><li>Technical Skills:Proficiency in computer systems and order entry (experience with AS400 is a plus).</li><li>Customer Service Experience:Proven track record in a sales or customer service role, preferably in a counter sales environment.</li><li>Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Organizational Skills:Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, with strong attention to detail.</li><li><span >Availability:Willingness</span> to work one Saturday per month.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>What We Offer:</p><ul><li>Competitive compensation.</li><li>A dynamic, fast-paced work environment.</li><li>Opportunity for growth and development within a leading distributor in the industry.</li><li>A supportive and collaborative team culture.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>If you are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while supporting a diverse range of customers, we encourage you to apply today!</p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
