The ideal person for this role will have a passion for and experience working within the privately owned, small- medium enterprise space in Canada. Our client is in growth mode and has current operations in both Canada and the US.</p><p><strong>Role Overview</strong><br />Reporting into the President and CEO, the Controller will be a part of the leadership team focusing on day to day controllership and full cycle accounting and payroll functions.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Be a hands on Controller supervising and mentoring a growing team of 2 responsible for AP, AR and Payroll. </li><li>Manage all accounting, compliance, and tax across Canada/U.S.</li><li>Lead closes, consolidate reporting, and control cash flow.</li><li>Manage and oversee small payroll for both US and CDN entities</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>CPA designation with 10+ years progressive experience in an accounting or finance leadership role. </li><li>Experience supporting construction, building material or project-based service businesses preferred </li><li>Strong understanding of both Canadian and U.S. GAAP, tax, and regulatory requirements </li><li>Proven ability to manage accounting across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions </li><li>Proficiency in accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Great Planes, Netsuite or similar ERP platforms</li><li>Corporate or shared services experience an asset</li><li>Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a process-driven mindset </li></ul><p></p><p>TSSHP</p><p>#LI-TS1</p><strong></strong><br /></p></p>
