A large industrial company is looking for a Controller to manage their finance team

Salary $150,000- $160,000


Fully in the office located in Mississauga

Full benefits including 3 weeks vacation and RRSP’s and health and dental


-Hours are 8-5pm flexibility Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:
•Financial Leadership: Oversee all Financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, credit reporting, insurance, tax, and treasury. The successful candidate will be involved with the review and re-design of the accounting and statistical data and reports as needed.
•Strategic Planning: Develop and execute financial strategy and forecasting models, providing insight and trusted counsel to the President and Managing Director as needed on financial and broad-based business issues related to the company’s overall performance.
•Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting, guiding cost controls and cash flow management.
•Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the organization.

Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends.
•Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing, cross-functional finance team. Lead team members in supporting the operations and growth of the business.
•Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to support financial objectives.



Qualifications:
•Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent financial certification (CA, CMA, or CGA).
•Minimum of three (3) years experience in a senior financial management role.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience with a company with international operations and/or were involved in wholesale distribution.
•Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS and proficiency with financial software. Advanced Excel skills are an asset.
•Proven experience in financial planning, risk management, deal structuring, and negotiations.
•Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering an environment of growth and development.
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, plus excellent organizational skills.
•Experience with US tax and compliance regulations is an asset.
