<p><h3>Position Summary</h3>
<p>Working as a Consumables Associate at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. The Consumables Associate is a customer service champion that contributes to the high-volume, fast-paced flow of merchandise from the backroom to the salesfloor. This Associate will function as part of a team to stock and process merchandise and assist customers with their shopping needs, all in a safe and clean environment. <h3>What you'll do</h3>
<ul>
<li>Greets all customers in a polite and friendly manner.</li>
<li>Assists customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions.</li>
<li>Resolves customer issues and refers concerns to management where appropriate.</li>
<li>Maintains salesfloor presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up and maintaining product displays, signing and pricing merchandise.</li>
<li>Ensures proper handling of claims and returns, secures merchandise, identifies high shrink items and maintains a safe work environment as per Company policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Receives and stocks merchandise, utilizes equipment appropriately, administers required paperwork, logs and other documentation.</li>
<li>Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.</li>
<li>Stocks merchandise/picks, Downstocks if applicable. Applies product protection when required. Sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and sets new shelf caps.</li>
</ul>
<p>The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.00. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.</p>
