The Opportunity:Join our amazing client’s team in Ontario as an ICI (Institutional, Commercial, and Industrial) Construction Estimator. This role offers the chance to play a vital role in their construction projects by providing accurate and competitive estimates.

You’ll be a key player in ensuring project success across a variety of ICI construction projects throughout the province.What You’ll Be Doing:Analyzing project specifications, drawings, and documentation to understand project scope and requirements, ensuring compliance with Ontario Building Code and regulations.Conducting detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for various construction disciplines, considering local market conditions and labor rates.Collaborating with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to gather information and ensure accuracy of estimates.Evaluating subcontractor and supplier bids, negotiating pricing and terms to achieve competitive project bids.Utilizing estimating software and tools to streamline processes and improve accuracy and efficiency.Preparing comprehensive bid proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns and project schedules, adhering to project timelines and bid submission requirements.Participating in bid reviews and discussions with project teams to assess risks, opportunities, and strategies for successful project acquisition.Staying informed of industry trends, market conditions, and changes in construction costs specific to Ontario.Liaising with internal departments to ensure alignment between estimating and project execution processes.Providing ongoing support to project teams during pre-construction and post-bid phases, assisting with value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.What You Bring:Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related industry experience preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the ICI construction sector, with a focus on Ontario projects.Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, regulations, and construction standards.Proficiency in estimating software/tools and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) are an asset.
