Construction and Development Specialist

We are seeking a talented Development and Construction Specialist to support our clients real estate team in achieving new store growth and maximizing real estate performance across our national chain. Reporting to the Manager, National Store Development & Construction, you’ll play a crucial role in coordinating, managing, and tracking all construction activities for our business.
Position Summary: Collaborate with the Real Estate team to maintain up-to-date store pipeline and construction lists.
Coordinate design and construction processes for new stores, relocations, expansions, and renovations. Ensure timely creation and distribution of construction-related documentation and plans.
Obtain necessary approvals for construction and store openings. Work with contractors to ensure accurate and timely completion of landlord work requirements.
Familiarize yourself with operational standards to incorporate them into store designs. Provide recommendations for design decisions and cost-saving modifications.
Standardize construction processes across regions and internal stakeholders. Manage construction budgets and pricing.
Respond to queries from various stakeholders. Attend construction sites as needed.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or related field. 1 to 3 years of experience in retail or commercial real estate.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Excel and database management. Travel required; valid driver’s license essential.
