Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Communications Strategy and Implementation Plan Consultant to develop a comprehensive communications strategy and implementation plan for our healthcare regulatory client in Ontario. As a Consultant, you will provide expertise in communications strategy and planning, conduct environmental scans, and develop a report to support the communications strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a project plan, including methodology and timeframe
- Meet with the Registrar & CEO or their designate(s) in a kick-off meeting to discuss specific strategic and operational goals, challenges, and opportunities
- Conduct environmental scans, including:
- Interviews with key stakeholders
- Targeted research and/or literature review
- Analysis of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT)
- Analysis of Political, Economic, Sociological, Technological, Legal, and Environmental (PESTLE) factors
- Analysis of the organization’s strategic plan as it pertains to communications
- Provide a report on research findings as background materials to support the communications strategy
- Develop a comprehensive communications strategy and implementation plan based on research findings and best practices
- Provide a summary written report describing the communications strategy and implementation plan
- Prepare and deliver a presentation to the Patient Relations Committee and Council describing the communications strategy and implementation plan
Requirements:
- Experience in developing communications strategies and implementation plans for not-for-profit and regulatory organizations
- Strong understanding of the healthcare regulatory field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Requirements:
- Evidence of relevant experience in not-for-profit and regulatory communications strategy and planning
- Qualifications and directly related experience of those who will be engaged in this assignment
- Outline of knowledge and understanding of the health professions regulatory field
- Rates per hour and per day
- Expected time to complete each phase of the project (five phases: kick-off, research and environmental scans, analysis of research and environmental scans, preparation of communications strategy and implementation plan, and preparation of final report)
- Three references from clients for whom similar services have been provided in the last five years
