GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Clinical Lead, Nursing will directly oversee nursing caregivers who work in the Executive Health Program (EHP), Concierge Medicine, and Specialists service lines. They will report to and work collaboratively with the Medical Director as well as the Physician and Operational Leads of each service line to ensure efficient clinic flow and ongoing improvement strategy.

The Clinical Lead, Nursing will also work closely with the Wellness Leads and allied health staff to ensure an environment conducive to building and maintaining high performing teams that deliver an exceptional patient experience. The Clinical Lead, Nursing has a central role in promoting the values of Quality and Safety, Integrity, Empathy, Inclusion, Teamwork and Innovation while ensuring compassionate, effective and efficient delivery of high-quality clinical care to patients.



_The Clinical Lead, Nursing will provide direct patient care 3 day a week with the remaining 2 days committed to administrative and leadership tasks._

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience in leading change, building high-functioning teams and effective working relationships.
Knowledge of current nursing and healthcare practices and trends.
Experience in effective critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced, complex and continually changing environment.
Ability to motivate and lead others to excel, address performance management concerns and staff concerns.
Strong comitment to providing top-notch patient care while maintaing a high standard for quality and safety.
High regard for confidentiality and accountability.

Required Length and Type of Experience
Five (5) years of clinical experience as a nurse in an acute care environment
Three (3) years of nursing management experience with demonstrated leadership ability


Required Licensure, Certification or Registry
Current registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Must have current BCLS certification.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


_ Quality & Safety _
Ensuring clinical competency of nursing staff (including appropriate licensure requirements) and promoting evidence-based best practices while building a culture of continuous improvement.
Leading monthly team meetings to share information, address operational and clinical issues, discuss opportunities for quality improvement, communicate safety and security procedures, and discuss new policies and procedures.
Acting as a lead for SERS (Safety Event Reporting System) in collaboration with the operations team.

_ Empathy _
Collaborating with Physician Lead, EHP and Senior Manager, Patient Experience to monitor and improve patient, physician, and team satisfaction.


_ Teamwork _
Coaching and mentoring direct reports including establishing annual objectives and conducting annual performance reviews.
Providing hands on patient care to support EHP and other clinical duties as required.

_ Integrity _
Collaborating with Medical Director and other clinical leads to develop and implement policy development including medical directives.
Review financial performance of the service lines to ensure appropriate nursing staff support.

Connecting with other Cleveland Clinic global locations to discuss and share best practices ensuring consistency across the organization.

_ Innovation _
Establishing Orientation Core Curriculum and supporting the professional development plan for all nursing personnel.
Collaborating with Physician Lead, EHP and the Director of Operations to continue to modernize CCC service lines.
