With low nurse/patient ratios and a patient-centered approach, you will provide high-quality patient care in a setting that prioritizes patient satisfaction.</p><p>You will apply your assessment, clinical, and interpersonal skills in a workplace that prioritizes patient care and satisfaction.</p><p><b>How you will make an impact</b></p><ul><li>Receive and review physicians' orders.</li><li>Perform patient assessments.</li><li>Prepare and administer specialized IV and injection therapies.</li><li>Initiate IV lines.</li><li>Perform phlebotomy.</li><li>Perform injections and self-injection teaching.</li><li>Perform general health and medication teaching.</li><li>Perform patient monitoring.</li><li>Provide patient care by utilizing the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling and health teaching.</li><li>Observe and document client conditions according to Coverdale Infusion Clinics Inc.</li><li>Provide direction, support and delegation to Licensed / Registered Practical Nurses as required.</li><li>Participate in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities.</li><li>Perform related tasks such as administrative duties as required.</li></ul><p><b>What you’ll bring to our team</b></p><ul><li>At least 3 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in a hospital setting; ICU and ER experience is an asset.</li><li>Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current registration in good standing with the provincial licensing body.</li><li>Training and experience in the preparation and administration of medications via all routes.</li><li>Excellent intravenous skills.</li><li>Training and experience with CVADs is an asset.</li><li>Current BCLS certification.</li><li>Able to read and interpret technical instructions related to client care; able to visually and auditorily observe and assess clients.</li><li>Experience in biologics/infusions is an asset.</li></ul><p><b>Job details</b></p><ul><li>Job Status: Casual (Shift offerings are days, evenings and weekends)</li><li>Job Location: Scarborough, ON</li><li>Application Deadline: August 25, 2023</li></ul><p><b>Our commitment to our team, our patients and our community</b></p><p>BioScript Solutions supports public health guidelines and recommendations regarding COVID-19 vaccines.
