Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Law Clerk with a minimum of five years of dedicated practice to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional legal drafting skills, along with a strong understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and experience with modern Ontario court platforms, including CaseLines and the Justice Services Online (JSO) portal.


Duties

  • Oversee and organize complex litigation files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and timelines are strictly followed.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Manage electronic filings via the JSO portal and organize digital hearing bundles for CaseLines.
  • Assist in preparing discovery requests, responses, and manage document review processes.
  • Provide administrative support which includes (but is not limited to) completing file opening forms, photocopying, scanning and filing.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years' experience working in Canada as a civil litigation law clerk or paralegal.
  • Demonstrated expertise in legal drafting, document review, and case analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with litigation procedures, court rules, and document management systems.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Experience in mortgage enforcement considered a strong asset.


Salary

$70,000+ depending on your experience and skills.
