Our client is a full service mid-sized law firm in the heart of Kitchener, Ontario. They are currently seeking a Civil Litigation Legal Assistant to join their thriving practice.

Your new role

As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role within the firm.

Your tasks will involve preparing legal documents, conducting research, managing case files, and providing essential administrative support, review of Pleading, preparation of notices of motion, motion records, affidavits, settlement documentation, evidence, and other court-related documents. Working closely with the lawyers, you will demonstrate your ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.



What you’ll need to succeed


To succeed in this position, we are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a civil litigation practice, Proficiency in The Rules of Civil Procedure and familiarity with all levels of court procedures are essential.

Exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), CaseLines, ACL, PrimaFact and LEAP is also required.
