As a Chemical Operator, you will be:
*Performing all job tasks in a safe manner by following all of the mandatory safety requirements and guidelines.
* Able and willing to adjust to change and to be assigned to any production area in the department, or work on other non-production related tasks.
* Working safely and use good judgement in all work situations.
* Effectively resolving and troubleshooting problems.
* Working effectively with others to accomplish goals and take ownership.
* Starting up and stopping equipment.
* Taking and following instructions from supervisors. Able to follow documented step-by-step instructions and accurately document completion of each step.
* Working with equipment following set safety procedure, including working with hazardous chemicals, laboratory, and other devices.
* Maintaining continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
* Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Performing basic quality and process checks.
* Setting up equipment and packaging of finish goods
Qualifications
* Able to work in any area of the department.
* Manually lift up to 50 LBS.
* Flexible to be pulled from one job to the next and then go back to first job as needed.
* Able to work in a respirator.
* Able to climb fixed ladders, portable ladders, extension ladders.
* Able to work overtime as necessary.
* Able to stand/sit for long periods and frequently use stairs, catwalks, and ladders.
