The work will be carried out as part of the Oko West Gold Project, located approximately 95 km west of Georgetown in northwestern Guyana. Oko West Gold is an underground mining project in one of the world’s best mining jurisdictions.</p><p>To pursue its development, G Mining Services is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to fill the position of:</p><h3>Summary of responsibilities</h3><p>Under the supervision of the Site Piping Superintendent, the incumbent will be involved in modifying the design of established systems and processes or adapting part of the field engineering project. The Lead of Piping Engineer will be specifically called upon to:</p><ul><li>Plan, schedule and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work in some or all parts of the medium scope project.</li><li>Plan and conduct surveys, tests or investigations, interpret results to prepare recommendations, summaries, schedules and cost estimates.</li><li>Meet with representatives of other departments to coordinate planning and scheduling activities.</li><li>Perform tasks that employ conventional engineering practices but involve a variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitable standard materials and difficult coordination constraints.</li><li>Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for various projects and activities.</li><li>Develop new approaches to problems encountered. The work requires originality and judgement in assessing and resolving problems independently.</li><li>Plan and coordinate contractor tasks to complete work on time and within budget.</li><li>Contribute to piping supply and storage strategy.</li><li>Ensure departmental compliance with requirements of government agencies, lending institutions, environmental and shareholder health and safety legislation, and company regulations.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, process or other related training.</li><li>Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience, including construction supervision.</li><li>Previous experience in heavy construction projects of similar size.</li><li>Experience in mining or heavy industrial (preferred).</li><li>Ability to communicate in both English and French, both orally and in writing.</li><li>Strong knowledge in field piping design and installation.</li></ul><h3>Abilities</h3><ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership and autonomy in team management.</li><li>Adaptability to unforeseen circumstances and changing priorities.</li><li>Focus on meeting safety and environmental standards.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Contract from September 2025 until fall 2027 (possibility to start this summer in Brossard).</li><li>Fly-in fly-out rotations based on a 23-day work schedule followed by 19 days off.</li><li>Transportation, accommodation and meals provided.</li><li>Possibility of working at the Brossard office over certain periods to prepare site work.</li><li>Competitive advantages and group insurance.</li></ul><p>If you feel ready and willing to be part of a team of experienced professionals, involved in various areas of the mining industry and driven by the desire to succeed in the projects in which you are involved, we offer you a challenge that matches your ambitions.</p><p>G Mining Services welcomes all submissions and is committed to evaluating them without discriminatory bias.
