Job Description
**Job Summary**Join our Customer Service & E-Commerce Team and become the face of Whole Foods Market! In this dynamic role, you will provide exceptional support to our customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience from the moment they enter the store until they check out. You will handle a variety of tasks, including processing transactions at the register, bagging groceries, working at the customer service desk, and performing e-commerce shopper duties. **Key Responsibilities**
• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times.
• Execute efficient and accurate cash register functions, including scanning groceries and processing payments.
• Strictly adhere to government regulations regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation.
• Follow proper procedures for checks, ATM transactions, credit payments, and tares on scalable items.
• Maintain a pristine Front End area; clean and stock registers, change receipt tapes, and manage ribbons as needed.
• Handle cash responsibly, meeting or exceeding regional cashier variance policies.
• Assist supervisors in managing customer flow to reduce wait times and prevent line backups.
• Support the training of new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members as requested.
• Perform assigned shopper tasks within the Customer Service & E-Commerce Team to support online orders.
• Answer phones and pages promptly and courteously, addressing customer needs effectively.
• Maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising of products.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across the department, including equipment maintenance.
• Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties, ensuring pricing and signage accuracy.
• Comply with all health, sanitation, safety, and Weights and Measures procedures.
• Report safety hazards or violations immediately to leadership.
• Arrive on time, properly groomed, and ready to work for all scheduled shifts, meetings, and training sessions.
**Qualifications and Skills**
• No prior retail experience required; we provide training.
• Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
• proficiency with the Cashier Code Book and PLUs (Price Look-Up codes).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information respectfully to customers, peers, and vendors.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Demonstrated patience and a willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills, with the ability to follow directions and procedures.

• Understanding of and compliance with company quality goals.
**Physical Requirements and Working Conditions**
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour workday.
• Hand use required: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Motions required: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to use tools and heavy machinery, such as box cutters and electric pallet jacks.
• Comfortable working in wet and cold environments.
• Exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit (approx. 32 degrees Celsius).
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
• May require the use of ladders.
**Compensation and Benefits**
• Hourly Wage Range: $18.50 - $25.00 (Commensurate with experience).
