Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Barista / Cashier to join our team. You'll be the first point of contact for customers—offering great service, preparing drinks, handling transactions, and helping maintain a clean and welcoming space for our guests. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage time will contribute to a positive experience for our customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take orders in a friendly, professional manner.
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, teas, smoothies, and other beverages following company recipes and quality standards.
- Provide accurate information about menu items, desserts, and pastries to assist with customer selections.
- Upsell or recommend products to enhance the customer experience and boost sales.
- Handle transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized front counter, coffee station, and seating area.
- Clean and sanitize tables, counters, and customer areas throughout the day.
- Restock pastries, cups, milk, napkins, and other daily supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth, efficient daily operations.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards consistently.
- Take orders accurately (in-store, phone, and through delivery apps).
- Must be able to commute easily or reside nearby (Ajax area).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.60 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Work Location: In person
