Job Description
**Job Overview**Join a locally owned and operated store dedicated to delivering essential health, beauty, and convenience services to the community. In this role, you will keep the customer at the center of everything you do, acting as a vital link between our products and the people we serve. You will work for a local business owner while benefiting from the support and resources of a recognized national brand.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a key member of the front-store team, you will be responsible for maintaining excellent customer service standards and managing the checkout area.
**Customer Service & Sales**
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting all visitors with a warm demeanor and positively engaging with them throughout their visit.
• Accurately scan or enter product data to process customer orders efficiently.
• Manage transactions involving cash, coupons, lottery, and PC Optimum points with high accuracy.
• Ask for the customer’s PC Optimum Card during every transaction to ensure they receive their benefits.
• Balance teamwork and efficiency while processing customer orders.
**Merchandising & Store Standards**
• Maintain a neat, organized, and safe checkout area.
• Merchandise designated areas by facing products, ensuring correct signage, and applying labels.
• Complete proper documentation regarding customer receipts and the return of goods.
• Ensure standards of housekeeping and professional image are maintained at all times.
**Loss Prevention & Compliance**
• Adhere strictly to loss prevention standards.
• Control inventory for cash, lottery tickets, and stamps.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations, store policies, and procedures.
• Present a proper image to the public in accordance with the Uniform Policy and Dress Code Guidelines.
• Perform other duties as required to support the team.
**Qualifications & Experience**
We are looking for organized, detail-oriented individuals who exercise good judgment.
• **Experience:** Strong computer and register skills are required. You should be well-organized with the ability to maintain accurate records.
