<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: $20 - $25/ hour<br /><p>Founded in 1988 the Degagne Group is a long standing family owned group of companies located in Corbeil, serving the Nipissing district. The group specializes in custom home building, home renovations and community development.</p><p><br /></p><p>The Degagne Group is looking for a Carpenter to join the team. As a Carpenter you will be working as part of a team to bring a custom home or renovation to completion.</p><p><br /></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Follow the established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.</li><li>Familiar with the operation of hand and power tools including, but not limited to; hammers ,drills, chainsaws, skill saws, jackhammers, etc.</li><li>Knowledgeable in the installation of windows, doors, roof trusses, sheathing, hardware, etc.</li><li>Have experience in the framing of walls and floors.</li><li>Erect scaffolding and ladders.</li><li>Able to work with little to no supervision.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.</li><li>The ability to read building plans is an asset.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Qualifications, skills and knowledge:</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Applicant should have at least 3 years of carpentry experience.</li><li>Proven experience in residential remodeling or custom home construction.</li><li>Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures.</li><li>The position requires the ability and willingness to work in a team and a willingness to interact with other employees and clients.</li><li>Strong communication skills are vital.</li><li>Valid drivers license</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Benefits:</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Group health benefits</li><li>RRSP match</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Schedule:</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Monday to Friday</li></ul></p></p>
