Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Operations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:<ul><li>Supervising, overseeing, and participating when needed in operations taking place on the car deck, such as vessel mooring, ship-to-ship cargo movement, forklift operations, etc.</li><li>Keeping the operations manager updated regularly on the progress and submitting suggestions on how to improve the procedures or the safety of any operations </li><li>Coordinating and supervising car deck team members</li><li>Assessing and minimizing risk to all individuals working on the car deck</li><li>Conducting regular safety inspections and ensuring the safety and security of the car deck and all individuals working within</li><li>Keeping all car deck documentation up to date and completing reports</li><li>Liaising and coordinating with the client, assisting with cargo movements </li><li>Making sure the car deck is clean, arranged, and in a presentable condition </li><li>Ensuring all work permits are completed before any tasks that require one</li><li>Ordering material for car deck operations in advance to avoid any interference with the daily operations</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred</li><li>Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a floating food service platform or cruise ship environment</li><li>STCW Basic Safety Courses</li><li>Seafarer's Medical Certificate</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance.</li><li>Ability to work in a team-oriented environment</li></ul>Working Conditions <ul><li>Constant standing and walking throughout the shift</li><li>Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs</li><li>Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting</li><li>Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps</li></ul>At Bridgemans Services Group LP (Bridgemans Crew Management Ltd.) we believe that each employee contributes directly to our growth and success.
