<p>LeverageTek is actively seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer for a 3-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>Work Location</b></p><ul><li>Remote</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b> </b></p><p><b>Key tasks </b></p><ul><li>The selected candidate will:</li><li>Design and develop BI products, including dashboards and interactive visualizations.</li><li>Collaborate with data scientists to integrate insights derived from machine learning (ML) models into business intelligence visualization frameworks.</li><li>Implement geospatial analysis and visualization solutions using tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar.</li><li>Architect and implement business intelligence product solutions, encompassing glossary, data visualizations, methodological approaches, and deployment strategies.</li><li>Generate data-driven features to condense business-relevant concepts and facilitate informed decision-making processes.</li><li>Collaborate with domain experts to integrate business intelligence products into decision-making frameworks and tools.</li><li>Interpret and transform business requirements into conceptual models/prototypes at an appropriate level of detail.</li><li>Communicate complex data models into interactive tools to foster consensus among individuals from diverse backgrounds and technical expertise.</li><li>Deliverables:</li><li>Fully functional BI dashboards and interactive visualizations, including geospatial components.</li><li>Maintenance and support for existing and any new BI products, including bug fixes and performance enhancements.</li><li>Technical documentation detailing architecture, methodologies, and deployment strategies.</li><li>User-facing documentation for onboarding and training stakeholders.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Qualifications </b></p><ul><li>Proficiency in BI tools like Tableau or Power BI, and the ability to create advanced, interactive visualizations is essential.</li><li>Experience implementing geospatial analysis solutions using tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or Mapbox, along with familiarity with geospatial data formats (Shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML) and standards (OGC).</li><li>Experience with SQL, programming (Python, R, or JavaScript), ETL processes, and database management is critical.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience in BI development and data visualization projects.</li><li>Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.</li><li>Ability to integrate ML outputs into BI dashboards and visualization tools.</li><li>Advanced skills in creating complex and interactive data visualizations</li><li>Expertise in geospatial analysis and visualization tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, Mapbox, etc.).</li><li>Familiarity with geospatial data formats (Shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML) and standards (OGC).</li><li>Experience with SQL and programming languages such as Python, R, or JavaScript.</li><li>Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).</li><li>Experience integrating various APIs for data collection and processing.</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their geospatial services.</li><li>Strong communication skills for conveying complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.</li></ul><p><br></p><p> </p><p><b>Assets</b></p><ul><li>MLOps experience considered an asset</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b> </b></p><p><b>About LeverageTek Staffing Solutions</b></p><ul><li>Founded in 2003, LeverageTek provides end-to-end, cross-functional staffing solutions throughout North America.
