Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client, Our client is seeking an experienced Bridge Project Manager for their Edmonton office to lead the planning, design, and delivery of bridge and transportation structures projects across municipal, county, provincial, and private-sector clients.
This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys managing complex infrastructure projects, mentoring teams, and working collaboratively across disciplines while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage bridge and transportation structures projects from concept through detailed design, tender, and construction support
- Act as Project Manager and/or Project Engineer of Record, as appropriate
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality control
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including civil, geotechnical, environmental, and construction services
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and stakeholders
- Oversee the preparation and review of engineering drawings, technical reports, and contract documents
- Support proposal development, fee estimates, and business development initiatives
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and intermediate engineers
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with municipal, provincial, and national design standards
- Participate in construction-phase services including site reviews, RFIs, and change management
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered in Alberta (or eligible for registration)
- 7+ years of progressive experience in bridge and transportation structures engineering
- Proven experience managing projects for municipal, county, provincial, and/or private clients
- Strong working knowledge of CSA S6, Alberta Transportation, and municipal design standards
- Experience with bridge types including concrete, steel, timber, and rehabilitation projects
- Proficiency with industry software
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and client management skills
