Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of financial data for our clients. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles to support the company's financial health and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry and record keeping
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero to maintain accurate financial records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Assist with budgeting processes and financial reporting as needed
- Maintain organized records for audits and compliance purposes
- Support payroll processing and related activities
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial documentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience with bookkeeping, accounting, or finance roles
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
- Experience with bank reconciliation and account analysis required
- Knowledge of payroll processing is a plus
- Knowledge of medical clinic bookkeeping is an asset
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Police check required

Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 10 per week
