<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Commissionaires BC is looking for a bilingual security guard to work at the front desk at a high profile RCMP building in Surrey.<br><br>Please note: This position requires the applicant to receive a RCMP level 3 clearance, which can take anywhere up to and beyond 3 months to be processed. Only applicants who meet the mandatory requirements will be considered, due to the nature of the clearance process.<br><br><b>Position: </b>Monday to Friday 6.30am – 2.30pm<br /><b>Wage: </b>$22.45/hr<br><br><b>Must have requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Have lived in Canada for at least the past 5 years and are either a Canadian citizen or permanent resident in order to obtain required clearances</li><li>A valid BC Security Licence</li><li>Basic First Aid certificate</li><li>Be fluent in both French and English</li><li>Be able to provide a high level of customer service to staff and visitors</li><li>Be confident with access control and computer administrative duties</li></ul><b>Site responsibilities include:</b><ul><li>Providing excellent customer service to staff and visitors as they enter the building</li><li>Access control and data input</li><li>Reception duties including answering phone calls and directing as needed</li><li>Performing interior & exterior patrols</li><li>CCTV monitoring</li><li>Writing clear and concise daily logs and reports of all incidents</li><li>Enforcing and maintaining site security procedures</li><li>Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts</li><li>Provide first aid in a prompt, accessible, and appropriate manner</li><li>Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor</li><li>Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of site duties and safety standards</li></ul><b>What’s in it for you? </b><ul><li>Gain valuable experience as a stepping stone into a law enforcement career</li><li>Competitive hourly wages  </li><li>Opportunity to work alongside RCMP </li><li>Training and support to succeed in your role  </li></ul><b>You’re a good fit if…</b><ul><li>Demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public</li><li>Positive and professional attitude, with strong customer service skills</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office, and equipment such as faxes and photocopiers</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner</li><li>Strong multi-tasking, prioritizing, and organizational skills</li></ul><p><b>Our Story</b><br />Commissionaires BC is a Canadian, not-for-profit <span >security/enforcement</span> organization that has been in business since 1927.
