Job Description
Seeking Part-Time Caregiver, working Monday to Friday 8:45 am-1:30 pm in our Childcare Centre.
The Winnipeg Winter Club is dedicated to providing exceptional childcare for our members and community. Our Babysitting Centre is a warm, welcoming space that supports children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age whose parents are on site while they visit.
We pride ourselves on offering a clean, safe, and nurturing environment tailored to each child's unique needs while maintaining strong, open communication with parents. Our team is passionate about creating meaningful, play-based experiences that promote learning, creativity, and development.
We are currently seeking a positive, energetic, and caring individual to join our team as a Part-Time Caregiver, working Monday to Friday 8:45 am-1:30 pm in our Childcare Centre.
Hours are subject to change based on operational needs.
About Us:
The Winnipeg Winter Club is a private recreational facility located in the heart of Winnipeg. Our Babysitting Centre operates 7 days a week and provides care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
We're looking for someone who:
- Loves working with children and creating a joyful, supportive environment
- Understands the importance of patience, empathy, and structure
- Has the ability to develop and lead age-appropriate activities that encourage growth and learning
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Planning and facilitating engaging activities
- Feeding and meal assistance
- Diapering and toilet training support
- Imaginative play and creative expression
- Singing, dancing, and storytelling
- Light cleaning and organizing
- Decorating for seasons and events
- Assisting with administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children including infants (Minimum 2 years in professional environment)
- Background in caregiving or early childhood education
- Understanding of child development and teaching strategies
- Strong communication skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (mandatory)
- Completion of Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Checks (mandatory)
