Job Description:


Customer Accountabilities

  • Relationship manager and trusted advisor providing guidance and challenge on third party risks and controls for the enterprise.
  • Focus on pre-contract activities (e.g., due diligence) and partner with post-contract activities, collaborating with Third Party Risk Office COEs when incidents arise, during exams and change initiatives, etc.
  • Lead team of six forward-deployed segment relationship management leads
  • Support with risk identification and control assessment across third party lifecycle
  • Oversee the closure of open due diligence issues and risks in efficient manner
  • Lead a group of highly skilled 1B Third Party Risk practitioners who will enable the achievement of the Business Segments and Corporate Function’s needs while facilitating they operate within TD’s Risk Appetite from Third Party Risk perspective and
  • Support and oversee third party activities are in compliance with the approved set of TPRM polices, standards, processes and guidelines
  • Provide feedback on risk and control assessments and improving efficiency and effectiveness of Third Party Management Lifecycle
  • Identify, assess, monitor, report on and help prioritize the remediation of 3rd party risk and control gaps or issues
  • Contribute to management reporting and support executive level reporting Third Party Risk This includes risk appetite metrics and results as measured against risk appetite including reporting on risk across multiple portfolios, product lines, major risk exposures and decisions
  • Accountable for monitoring third party contractual deviations from a Third Party Risk Office perspective
  • Collaborate with partners by providing expertise to enable informed decisions to drive business value and in alignment with the TD risk tolerance

  • Ensure effective pre-contract segment governance and oversight of the 3rd party risks within the TD’s vendor portfolio on behalf of 1st line
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with businesses and corporate areas

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ year of experience, preferably with Vendor Management and/or Risk, Compliance or Governance & Control experience.
  • Knowledge of TD businesses and operations in both Canada, U.S. and globally
  • Proven track record of building and developing high performing teams
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills (issue identification, problem structuring, analysis, development of actionable recommendations) and conceptual thinking abilities
  • Strong understanding of and experience in implementing large scale and complex programs/projects; proven ability to work effectively with teams and individually
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced facilitation and influence management skills, and proven ability to develop good business relationships with internal and external partners
  • Able to work in an unstructured and fast paced environment
