Salary: $77,000-$105,000

JANA is focused on improving the integrity of gas pipeline systems through the application of advanced risk modeling technologies. Our models and software are defensible and highly predictive, allowing gas pipeline operators to take actions to reduce risk in their systems. Members of JANAs Product Team, under the direction of theWhole Product Managersand in heavy collaboration with JANAsSoftware Development Teams, JANAsAssociate Product Managersown the detailed definition and description of what is built into JANAs software products. Leading the detailed design and solutioning to ensure the softwarewill meetthe needs ofbothinternal and externalclients, andtranslatingrequirements and high-level use cases into detailed descriptions of specifically what needs to be built.Associate Product Managers work closely with development teamstoensure the requirementsare prepared and understood,helpingtoanswer and clarify the requirements, as well as confirming that development hasachieved the goalsfor each sprint.They understand the minutia of the product and the day-to-day execution requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Understands the Jobs to Be Done theory and uses it to understand JANAs clients needs better than the clients understand it themselves
  • Collaborateswith Product Managers, developmentteams, and QA teamsto translate and document feature definitionsinto detailed user storiesand test strategies
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of training materials, release notes, andgeneral productdocumentationrelated to the software
  • Tracks bugs, issues, and new feature requests from all stakeholder groups
  • Owns detailedsolutiondefinition anduserstorywritingprocess
  • Workswith designers on UX design
  • Works closely with Delivery Teamsto ensure productsare usedeffectively and internal JTBD are captured
  • Understands impact of timelines, answers questions andassistswith client impact review
  • Working with others,leadssprint planningactivitiesincluding goals setting,prioritizingand ensuring requirements are understood.
  • Participate in day-to-dayscrum ceremonies,dailystand-ups,featuredemonstrations, andretrospectives.
  • Brings aclient-centric view to the curation and prioritization of product features
  • Contributes to the roadmap development of the softwarecomponentof JANAs Whole Product Offerings
  • Validatesthatuser stories are designedandimplementedas intended

Required Skillsand Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or a STEM field
  • 2+ years in a Technology organization
  • Workingknowledge of the Jobs to Be Done theory
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
  • Proven experience in the Product field
  • Knowledge of various software development lifecycles - especially Agile / Scrum
  • Must be able to travel in the US and Canada up to 20% of the time
