<p><h3>Overview</h3>
<p><b>Associate Director of Care</b></p>
<p>Reporting into the Director of Care, the Associate Director of Care will help support the day-to-day operations of the Wellness Department and all clinical operations of the retirement home. The primary focus of this role is to support managing the care plans, assessments, and ongoing care of residents, and the day-to-day tasking and work assignments for the clinical team in support of the residents. Ensuring that the Wellness team delivers on Castle Peak's promise of service and maintains the standards of the operations is an essential part of this role. The position is people-focused, with a substantial component of maintaining strong resident/family and team member/volunteer relations. The role also includes managing residential licensing requirements, governing body policies, and all public health requirements.</p>
<h3>What you'll be doing</h3>
<p>You will be a welcomed member of the Castle Peak Leadership team and impact in the following ways:</p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure all residents in Independent Living and Supportive Living are assessed; develop service plans of care and determine corresponding care fees and team member requirements as applicable.</li>
<li>New prospect assessments, 6-month re-assessments, change in condition assessments.</li>
<li>Monitor all resident incidents and direct team members regarding interventions to prevent recurrence, updating medical records and care plans accordingly.</li>
<li>Joint Health and Safety</li>
<li>Assist and support in managing the OHAH relationships.</li>
<li>Scheduling, line assignments, tasking of team members (PSW / UCP / RPN)</li>
<li>Payroll and admin responsibilities</li>
<li>Monitor quality indicators and evaluate nursing and related services to ensure quality of resident care (Falls, Behaviours, Infection Control, etc.).</li>
<li>Develop and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with hospital team members and home/community care partners.</li>
<li>Participate in marketing outreach such as presentations on wellness services and aging in place philosophy, and interview prospective residents conducting assessments to determine suitability for admission.</li>
<li>Work alongside the Director of Care and support day-to-day Wellness operations within the Residence.</li>
<li>Indirectly support and work in tandem with the Wellness Operations Supervisor.</li>
<li>Training of new staff</li>
<li>Support the emergency response planning and management within the residence, including emergency code training, nursing support for fire emergencies and medical emergencies.</li>
</ul>

<li>A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with RNAO with a minimum 3-5 years' experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation and/or senior health industry.</li>
<li>You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk, and can foster a positive work environment.</li>
<li>Strong technology skills in Microsoft Office suite programs.</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task and support the overall functions of the Wellness Department.</li>
<li>A highly collaborative leader with an open mindset of growth.</li>

<h3>Must haves</h3>
<ul>
<li>Completion of Nursing program and currently registered with the CNO</li>
<li>Minimum of Five (3) years of management experience in a related environment</li>
<li>Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance</li>
<li>Strong leadership capabilities and excellent written/oral communication skills</li>
</ul>

<p>Full Time</p>
<p>Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm</p>
<p>Weekends as required / On-call as required.</p>
<p>Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000</p>
