Job Description <p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Job Summary </strong><br />An Associate is sought to join the legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in condominium law, and at least three years of legal experience. This role involves representing clients in various condominium-related legal matters, including Owner disputes, Bylaw breaches and drafting, and condominium construction deficiency cases, although other areas of law in addition to condominium law may be explored, at the candidate's request. The successful candidate will manage their own condominium files, as well as work as a junior on files with more senior condominium lawyers. You will also work with and supervise Articling Students, where necessary, and support staff. </p><p><strong>Requirements </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from an accredited law school. </p> </li><li><p>Active license to practice law in Alberta. </p> </li><li><p>Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on condominium law. </p> </li><li><p>Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients. </p> </li><li><p>Excellent research capabilities to analyze complex legal issues. </p> </li><li><p>Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents. </p> </li><li><p>Proficiency in using legal research tools such as LexisNexis is a plus. </p> </li><li><p>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike. </p> </li> </ul><p>We offer competitive compensation packages, including salary commensurate with experience and a significant bonus structure.
