We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator / Assistant to Project Manager to join a growing team in our Toronto office for the Ontario Line / RSSOM project. You will be part of the Connect 6ix team, that is passionate about meeting the expectations of the local and international markets.

About the Project

The Rolling Stock, Systems, Operations and Maintenance (RSSOM) project is one of many contracts to deliver the Ontario Line, a 15.6-kilometre stand-alone rapid transit line that will connect the Ontario Science Centre to Exhibition/Ontario Place.

The Role

As a member of the Executive Management, you will be responsible for providing support to the Project Manager and the project team by performing various administrative tasks to help the project stay on track. The candidate will show interpersonal skills and provide administrative support to the Project Management team following the Connect6ix procedure and requirements at the different stages of the project.



Role and General Responsibilities


  • Provide project management support to the Project Manager
  • Provide executive administrative support to the Project Manager including calendar and email management
  • Managing day to day activities with the Project Management team
  • Coordinate meeting logistics and deliverables including detailed minutes
  • Ensuring Documentation is maintained throughout the length of the project
  • Perform intensive research as required
  • Organize company events as required
  • Book internal and external meeting halls as required


Qualifications

  • Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management background. Minimum seven (7) – ten (10) years relevant experience.
  • Experience working on transit projects.
  • Familiar with project management tools and approaches. Strong preference for candidates with PMP designation or working towards it.
  • Excellent letter-writing skills
  • Solid presentation skills and verbal / written communication skills
  • Familiar with contract types such as P3, DBB, PDB, etc.
  • Familiar with contract and construction projects terminologies, such as RFI, construction schedule, NCR, Agreements, minutes of meeting, contracts, DRB, NOC
  • Have a good understanding of organizational chart for similar projects and how lines of communication work.
  • Experience with the use of management program such as In-Eight, Unifier, Aconex, CM14 or similar tools
  • Fast learner, dynamic
