Since 1982, La Rose Specialty Foods Inc. (www.larosebakery.com (http://www.larosebakery.com/) ) in Milton has been serving our community and surrounding areas with freshly baked from scratch breads, pastries, cookies and cakes as well as offering full service deli counter, hot table for lunch, catering services, espresso bar, selection of cheeses from around the world, fresh produce and specialty grocery items. We are still family owned and operated and put our heart and soul into everything we do and create. We love what we do and all of our amazing customers. We are currently hiring a part-time Assistant Pastry Chef to join our team in Milton. Candidates must have flexibility and be available to work during the week, on the weekends & holidays and to start work as early as 6:00am. In this role, the successful candidate will have a passion for making delicious desserts and a passion to learn. The role is focussed on assisting the pastry team and will involve cleaning and dishwashing. What You Will Do: * Assist pastry team with various food prep needs; * Responsible for cleaning and dishwashing; * Assist with pastry assembly and finishing; * Assist with cookies - rolling, cutting, finishing; * Assist with other baked goods - assembly/finishing * Assist with creating edible decorative fondant/chocolate pieces * Assist pastry chefs as required/directed Qualifications: * 1-2 years of related work experience * Baking/mixing/assembling knowledge * Attention to detail * Enjoy working with a team La Rose is an equal opportunity employer.
