We are looking for an Assistant Category Manager who will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the accuracy of our promotional planning system data, ensuring seamless coordination with the Category Manager as well as e-commerce and national partners, and providing essential support across various categories. You must be able to leverage technology (., SAP) to review and analyze large volumes of data, and effectively communicate with all levels of the business as well as negotiate and influence others.



Here’s where you’ll be focusing:


  • Manage and maintain accuracy of promotional planning system data, including SKUs and vendor listings, per Category Manager directives.

  • Respond promptly to vendor-initiated changes within the cost and deal system.


  • Coordinate with Marketing to assist in ad creation and proofing.

  • Address and resolve retail pricing issues.


  • Validate and report discrepancies in listing forms and delisting reports.

  • Provide technical support and communication to vendors.


  • Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external partners, addressing various issues.

  • Support various responsibilities such as seasonal program development and recipe creation.


  • Offer ad hoc analytical support across categories as requested by Category Manager or Category Portfolio Manager.

  • • Assist in preparation of tools and communication for retailers as needed, and act as fill-in for Category Manager when necessary.


  • What you have to offer:


  • Bachelor’s degree combined with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in category management or related field.

  • Experience in data analysis, with a strong ability to interpret and leverage large volumes of data.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with SAP or similar systems.

  • Grocery or e-commerce experience is preferred.
