Job Description

<p>The Integrity Group of Companies consists of five different business units, with the primary areas of focus including the construction of post frame buildings across Western Canada, supplying framing material packages to homebuilders in Calgary and area, as well as manufacturing.</p><p><br></p><p>The Architectural Technologist designs post frame buildings (farm, residential, commercial, etc.). Their role is to design and check building packages and ensure building code compliance. They are responsible for creating, interpreting, and reading drawing packages as required which are primarily created using REVIT 3D software. The position involves checking, modeling, designing, drawing review, and estimating for different scopes of construction.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Roles and Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.</li><li>Create full construction design drawing packages using REVIT 3D/AutoCAD software.</li><li>Check full construction design drawing packages.</li><li>Review lumber and material takeoffs by reading and interpreting construction drawings and documents.</li><li>Coordinate with engineering to finalize designs and review building code compliance.</li><li>Provide technical assistance to customers and other internal departments when required.</li><li>Collaborate with drafters, architects, engineers, city officials, trades and contractors.</li><li>Occasional site visits and other job-related duties performed as required.</li><li>Use REVIT 3D software to design and model structural components.</li><li>Prepare and provide support for client permit requirements.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Education/Experience Requirements</b></p><ul><li>3+ years of building design experience using Revit</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Skills/Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Extremely well organized with strong attention to detail.</li><li>Advanced functional computer and math skills.</li><li>Self-starter with the ability to work cooperatively and be willing to assist others.</li><li>Demonstrates professionalism, flexibility, and ‘can do’ attitude.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Strong time management skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities.</li><li>Analytical, fair problem-solver.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Technology & Equipment</b></p><ul><li>Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Gmail, Slides, Docs)</li><li>AutoCAD, BIM, REVIT 3D, and other drafting and design software</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
