<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: <br /><p>Apprentice Carpenter / Journeyman Carpenter</p><p><br /></p><p>Arbutus Properties is a leading commercial and residential property development company, offering a dynamic work environment, attractive compensation and benefits package, and vast opportunity for advancement.</p><p><br /></p><p>We are currently seeking an experienced Apprentice Carpenter / Journeyman Carpenterwith a strong work ethic, the desire to be part of a team, and the skills to assist in the construction of commercial and residential projects in the Saskatoon region.</p><p><br /></p><p>As a member of our team, you will provide insight and innovative solutions to ensure the successful construction of our commercial and residential properties.</p><p><br /></p><p>Summary</p><p>Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Apprentice Carpenter / Journeyman Carpenter selected will be responsible for the completion of carpentry work and quality management, ensuring the compliance with local building code and company safety policy. The Apprentice Carpenter / Journeyman Carpenter is also responsible for general site maintenance and clean-up as needed.</p><p><br /></p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Adherence to building code and corporate safety requirements on all sites<br /></li><li>Carpentry work that falls outside of the scope of work of subtrades</li><li>Oversight of subtrade work</li><li>Perform touch ups and repairs on subtrade deficiencies</li><li>Perform frame checks and mechanical checks</li><li>Finish carpentry work<br /></li><li>Quality management inspections and reporting</li><li>Report issues as they arise to the superintendent</li><li>Proficient knowledge and use of power tools such as air nailers, skill saw, screw gun</li><li>Mentor novice workers</li><li>Other tasks as required by the site foreman / site superintendent</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Experience in residential framing</li><li>Enrollment in Carpentry apprenticeship program as a 3rd or 4th year or completion of Journeyman Carpentry</li><li>Experience in finish carpentry is an asset</li><li>Equipment operation experience is an asset (zoom boom / skid steer)<br /></li><li>Knowledge of building code and safety code requirements<br /></li><li>Be organized, interpersonal and strong communicator with the ability to build excellent relationships with subtrades and workers on site</li><li>Candidate must have excellent time management skills, have the ability to prioritize work and be results driven</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and strong understanding of quality standards</li><li>Highly organized, results-oriented and able to work in a multi-functional team environment<br /></li><li>Must have own vehicle and valid drivers license</li></ul></p></p>
